Snagbook

Terms of Use

Effective 25 September 2026 · Version 1.0

These terms are a contract between you and Aaron Parry, trading as Snagbook (“Snagbook”, “we”, “us”), for your use of the Snagbook mobile app. By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you are using the app for a business, you confirm you have authority to agree on its behalf.

1. What Snagbook is

Snagbook is a tool for recording photographs, observations, signatures and other details on site and producing PDF reports from them. Snagbook does not carry out inspections, does not check your findings and does not give professional, legal or surveying advice. The reports you produce are your work and your professional responsibility.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the App Store or Google Play terms that apply to the store you downloaded it from. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or sublicense the app, or use it to build a competing product.

3. Free features, Pro and the free trial

Recording reports, photographs, annotations and signatures is free without limit. Generating PDF reports requires Pro.

Pro is available as an annual subscription, a monthly subscription, or a one-off lifetime purchase, at the prices shown in the app. Prices include VAT where applicable and may differ by country.

Free trial. The annual subscription may include a 14-day free trial for new subscribers. When the trial ends the subscription starts automatically and your App Store or Google Play account is charged, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. One trial per store account.

Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your device’s subscription settings (App Store: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; Google Play: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you keep Pro until then.

Lifetime. The lifetime purchase is a one-off payment for Pro on the platform it was bought on, for as long as Snagbook is available on that platform. It is not a subscription and does not renew.

Refunds. Purchases are made through Apple or Google and are subject to their refund policies. We cannot issue refunds directly; request them through the store. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.

Restoring. Pro is tied to your App Store or Google Play account. If you change phone on the same platform, use Restore purchases in Profile. Purchases do not transfer between Apple and Google.

4. Your data and your responsibilities

Everything you record in the app is stored on your device only. We do not hold a copy and cannot recover it. You are responsible for backing up your data, for example by exporting and saving PDFs. Loss of a device, a factory reset or deleting the app will permanently remove your reports.

You are responsible for the content of your reports and for complying with the law when you produce them, including data-protection law where reports contain personal data about other people, any requirement to obtain consent or give notice before photographing, and any rules of a deposit protection scheme, professional body, client or employer that apply to you. You must not use the app to record content that is unlawful, defamatory or that infringes someone else’s rights.

5. Evidence features

The app records the time and, where you allow it, the location of each photograph, hashes each photograph at capture and records the time and device with each signature. These features are provided to help you demonstrate that a record is contemporaneous and unaltered. They are not a guarantee that a report will be accepted by any court, tribunal, adjudicator or other party, and you should keep the original files where that matters.

6. Availability and changes

We may update the app, add or remove features and change these terms. Material changes to the terms will be shown in the app before they take effect; continuing to use the app afterwards means you accept them. If we withdraw Pro features from an active paid period we will refund a proportionate part of what you paid for that period through the store.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its design, illustrations and templates belong to us or our licensors. The reports, photographs and other content you create belong to you.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, nothing here affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Subject to that, the app is provided “as is”. We are not liable for loss of data, loss of profit, loss of business or any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app, from a report produced with it, or from an interruption in the service; and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in that period.

9. Ending these terms

You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it; cancel any subscription through the store first if you do not want it to renew. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these terms.

10. General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers resident elsewhere in the UK may bring proceedings in their home courts. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable the rest continues to apply. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and have no obligation to provide support for the app.
